Modepark Röther is a German medium-sized fashion chain within the family-run group of Röther Beteiligungs GmbH , based in Michelfeld, Baden-Württemberg . As of December 2018, there are a total of 44 Modepark Röther branches in eleven German federal states and in Austria .
history
The company was founded in 1972 by Martin and Margit Röther as a jeans shop in downtown Schwäbisch Hall . In 1996 the company moved to the commercial area of Michelfeld under the name Modepark Röther . Further locations were added in Aalen in 2000 and in Heilbronn in 2002 . In the following years the company expanded further. In December 2015 Modepark Röther expanded to Austria and opened a fashion park in Salzburg . A separate Austrian group of companies was founded for this purpose. A branch in Wiener Neustadt followed in November 2016 .
In 2019, the company opened a former Hertie department store in Idar-Oberstein , which has been converted into a new fashion park. Furthermore, the demolition work on the former Kaufhof in Völklingen began in December 2016 in order to build a shopping center with Modepark-Röther branch there by 2021, for which the company was awarded the contract in 2015.
Röther Group
Röther Beteiligungs GmbH is the parent company of the Röther Group with various subsidiaries in Germany. In addition to the holding function , the parent company takes on central services such as accounting, human resources and the IT department. Michael and Thomas Röther are the managing partners. Control and profit transfer agreements exist with all subsidiaries .
In addition to the fashion branches that are run as subsidiaries (January 2019: 44), of which Modepark Röther GmbH Schwäbisch Gmünd operates a photovoltaic system, the subsidiary Röther Solar GmbH has been operating photovoltaic systems at the Michelfeld and Heilbronn locations since 2007. 99.7% of the Group's sales in 2015 were generated with the sale of clothing, shoes and accessories.
A separate group of companies was founded for the commitment in Austria (Modepark Röther GmbH & Co. KG and Modepark Röther Verwaltungs GmbH, both based in Salzburg). There are also business relationships with other companies of the Röther family that do not belong to the group.
