Mohamed Abdelwahab ( Arabic محمد عبد الوهاب, DMG Muḥammad ʿAbd al-Wahāb , born July 13, 1983 in Madinat al-Fayyum , Egypt ; † August 31, 2006 in Cairo ) was an Egyptian soccer player.
Mohamed Abdelwahab was a successful defender. He has played for al-Dhafra in the United Arab Emirates since 2004 . Due to contractual problems, however, he finally trained with the reigning Egyptian champions from 2006 al Ahly Cairo . In 2006 he won the African Championship with his country's national team .
Abdelwahab collapsed while exercising and died at the age of 23. According to doctors, his death was due to a heart defect.
