Career
As a player
Sahli played for ASV Blau-Weiß Salzburg from 2007 to 2009 , where he was primarily used for the reserve. In August 2009 he played his last game as an active player.
As a trainer
From 2008 Sahli worked as a youth coach at ASV Blau-Weiß Salzburg , where he was also a player at that time. From March 2009 he trained in the youth of the 1st Salzburg SK 1919 . For the 2008/09 season he moved to FC Red Bull Salzburg . Between 2012 and 2013 he trained in the youth team of the FC Liefering farm team before returning to Red Bull Salzburg.
For the 2015/16 season he was the coach of the fourth-rate amateurs of the Bundesliga club SV Grödig . In that season he led Grödig II to third place in the Salzburg League , from which, however, due to the withdrawal of the first team from professional football, they withdrew. Sahli then left Grödig and became youth coach at SK Sturm Graz for the 2016/17 season . From 2017 he also acted as assistant coach for the Austrian U-19 team . After the 2017/18 season, he left Sturm Graz for family reasons. From 2018 he was Martin Scherb's assistant coach in the Austrian U-16 team .
For the 2019/20 season he moved to Bundesliga club Wolfsberger AC and became assistant coach to Gerhard Struber . After his move to FC Barnsley in November 2019, Sahli became the interim head coach of the Carinthians. In December 2019 he was replaced by Ferdinand Feldhofer .
