Daniel Urech (born July 18, 1983 in Arlesheim ; resident in Hallwil ) is a Swiss politician ( Greens ).

Life

Daniel Urech grew up in Hochwald in the canton of Solothurn and has lived in Dornach for over 20 years . After graduating from high school , he did community service and then studied bilingual law at the University of Freiburg . After graduating in 2009, he passed the bar and notary exams in 2012 and worked from 2012 to 2016 as a legal assistant for the city ​​of Bern . Daniel Urech works as a freelance lawyer and notary in Dornach.

Daniel Urech has been a member of the Dornach municipal council (executive) since 2005. He has been a member of the Solothurn Cantonal Council since 2011 , where he represents the Greens on the Justice Commission. He is also a member of the Inter-Parliamentary Commission for Northwestern Switzerland and first Vice-President of the Council Management. In 2018, Urech was second vice president and in 2019 vice president of the Solothurn Cantonal Council. In 2020 he will be the first member of the Green Party to preside over the Cantonal Council.

Daniel Urech is Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Kultur am Bahnhof Foundation and a member of the Board of Directors of Kultur am Bahnhof AG in Dornach. He is a board member of the Association for a STRONG REGION Basel / Northwestern Switzerland and board member of the sponsoring association of the higher technical school for anthroposophic curative education, social education and social therapy .
