Mohammed Al-Jaber   ( Arabic محمد الجابر, DMG Muḥammad al-Ǧābir ; * 1970 in the province of Asir ) is a Saudi military expert and diplomat .

Education

Al-Jaber received his bachelor's degree in strategy (military) from King Abdul Aziz Military College and then his master's degree in military science from the Saudi Armed Forces Command & Staff College. This was followed by a master’s degree in business administration in the USA. He also completed training in strategic intelligence and psychological warfare in Great Britain.

Career

He headed the Strategic Early Reconnaissance Department of the Saudi Defense Ministry. He was a lecturer at the News Institute for the Security of the Saudi Arabian Armed Forces . He represented the Saudi Ministry of Defense in the four-way border security dialogue Oman - Yemen - Saudi Arabia - United States in the USA.

In September 2014, ten days before the Houthi coup , he was appointed ambassador to Sanaa . In January 2015, as Executive Director of Yemen Comprehensive Humanitarian Operations (YCHO), he oversaw the Saudi humanitarian aid operations for the Gulf of Aden region , which preceded the military intervention in Yemen ( Operation Decisive Storm ) that began on March 26, 2015  . From February 14 to 26, 2015, he escaped with the government from Sanaa to Aden . With the propagated nimbus of the legitimate government and the weight of the potent neighbor, he made a significant contribution to the fact that the Houthi , despite taking the capital Sanaa, could not change from the position of asymmetrical belligerents to the sphere of politics and diplomacy.

In 2015 he headed the Saudi delegation to the Geneva consultations on the Yemen peace talks. In 2016 he headed the Saudi delegation to the Yemen peace talks in Kuwait.
