Mokdad Ounis (born May 18, 1983 ) is a German Taekwondoin . It starts in the weight class up to 74 kilograms.

Ounis came to Taekwondo at the age of 15, he started for the Olympic Taekwondo Club Bonn . Ounis already competed in his first World Cup in 2000, but has only been regularly participating in international competitions since 2008. In the following year, 2009, he was accepted into the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr in Sonthofen . At his first world championship in Copenhagen , he surprisingly reached the semifinals in the class up to 74 kilograms and won the bronze medal after a loss to Maxime Potvin . Ounis was also able to move into the semi-finals at the 2010 European Championships in Saint Petersburg . He lost to Rıdvan Baygut and won bronze. In the same year, Ounis also won a silver medal at the World Military Championships in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu . At the 2012 European Championships in Manchester , he reached the quarter-finals.
