Momodou Kotu Cham

Momodou Kotu Cham (* 1953 ) was Minister of Forestry and Environment (Secretary of State for Forestry and the Environment) of the West African country Gambia .

Life

From 1975 Cham worked in the public service. From 1995 he became deputy director and from 1996 director of the national environmental agency and then in 2003 he became State Secretary in the Department of State for Forestry & the Environment . He later moved to the same position in the Department of State for Fisheries & Water Resources in 2006 . He was appointed by President Jammeh on September 13, 2007 as Minister and successor to Edward Singhatey .

Cham received the Order Officer (ORG) in May 2009.

Cham was dismissed as minister on October 27, 2009, and was succeeded by Jato Sillah .
