Mona Abu Suleyman

Mona Abu Suleyman (* 1973 in Saudi Arabia ) is a Saudi women's rights activist , director of a foundation of the Kingdom Holding , lecturer, "ambassador of goodwill" at the United Nations Development Program and the chair of the World Economic Forum in Jeddah , Saudi Arabia.

She is divorced and has a daughter.

Since 1997 she has been visiting professor of American literature at King Saud University in Riyadh . She was honored at a meeting of the Global Young Leaders Conference .

Since the attacks of September 11 it is funded under the program for the emancipation of women in Saudi Arabia by the Saudi government. In 2005 she became an ambassador of goodwill to the UN. She is co-hosting a talk show for women on MBC . In 2007 she was honored at the Middle East Excellence Awards ceremony in Dubai .

She is also director of a humanitarian aid foundation run by Prince al-Walid ibn Talal's Kingdom Holding . He is considered a supporter of women's emancipation in Saudi Arabia, but is banned from government offices.
