Monastiraki ( Greek Μοναστηράκι ( n. Sg. )) Is the name of a village in the local community of Pachia Ammos , in the municipality of Ierapetra , in the east of the Greek island of Crete .

The place is 1 km east of the road from Pachia Ammos and Ierapetra, about 5 km from Pachia Ammos and about 10 km from Ierapetra. After Kato Chorio in the South is 6 km away.

Surname

The place that used to be Monastiri ( Μοναστήρι ( n. Sg. ) = Monastery ) was probably built in the area of ​​the monastery of St. Constantine and Helena , of which there are still remains of the wall at the church of Agios Stefanos. The first buildings were the monks' houses.
