Monica Geingos (* 1977 in South West Africa ), née Monica Kalondo , is a Namibian entrepreneur and board member in numerous large companies in the country . In 2012 she was voted one of the 12 most influential people in Namibia. She has been Namibia's First Lady since 2015 .

Among other things, Geingos headed the board of directors of the EBank as chairwoman and is the managing director of the financial company Stimulus and general director of Pointbreak .

Geingos holds a B. Juris degree and a Bachelor of Laws .

Since 2016 she has been UNAIDS - Special Advocate for young women and vulnerable girls. For her commitment against HIV / AIDS , she was awarded the "World Without AIDS Award" by the German Aids Foundation on November 4, 2018 .

Private life

She has been married to the 35-year-old Hage Geingob , the President of Namibia , since February 14, 2015 . The relationship only became public in October 2014.
