Monika Kaelin
Monika Kaelin (born October 13, 1954 in Schwyz ) is a Swiss singer , lyricist and actress .
Life
The trained kindergarten teacher worked as a photo model and studied singing and violin at the conservatory. As an actress she acted in comedy films and sketches and made an international name for herself. She became known for the first time in Switzerland with sex films and especially with her nude photos as "Pet of the Month" for the American men's magazine Penthouse in May 1980.
In 1987 she took part in the Grand Prix of Folk Music with the song Urlaub im Schweizerland, composed and written by her . From 1996 to 1997 she was the only board member in the Bernhard Theater in Zurich . In 1997 she founded her own company, Theater und Musik GmbH . Since 1998 she has been president of the Show-Szene Schweiz / Prix Walo association . Since 1999 she has also been on the board of SUISA .
The black pike is an in-house production from 1997. The musical was performed in the summer of 2007 on the Rigi . In it Kaelin sang the chanson O mein Papa by Paul Burkhard . Her career also took her to Radio Zürisee and Radio Central , where she worked as a presenter.
Today she lives and works in Zurich and Gersau .
