Monika Oražem

Monika Oražem (born May 9, 1993 in Ljubljana ) is a Slovenian professional triathlete, Sprint State Champion of the year 2009 and Sprint Duathlon State Champion 2010.

Career

Monika Oražem entered the triathlon in 2004 at the age of eleven and has been taking part in ITU competitions regularly since 2007.

Monika Oražem also takes part in the French club championship series Lyonnaise des Eaux and competes for SAS (Saint Avertin Sports) Tri 37 . At the opening competition of the 2011 season in Nice (April 24, 2011), Oražem was 10th, in Paris (July 9, 2011) 24th - making her the best triathlete in her club. Accordingly, she was chosen as the final solo runner in the experimental relay triathlon of the club championship series in Tours (August 28, 2011), but could not improve the club placement this time.

In Slovenia, Oražem represents Triatlon club Inles Riko Ribnica.

ITU competitions

In the four years from 2007 to 2010, Oražem took part in 20 ITU competitions and was able to achieve 17 top ten placements. In 2011, Oražem represented her country twice in the elite category: at the Sprint World Championships in Lausanne (individual and relay competition).
