Monika Piwon

Monika Piwon (born March 6, 1940 in Hamburg ) is a Hamburg politician of the SPD and a former member of the Hamburg Parliament .

Life and politics

Piwon was the equal opportunities officer at Norddeutscher Rundfunk (NDR). She is divorced and has two children.

She joined the SPD in 1971 and as an active party member held several different offices. From 1981 she was the full-time state manager of the SPD.

In the 14th electoral term (1991 to 1993) she was a member of the Hamburg Parliament. She sat for your group on the Committee on Equality for Women, Urban Development Committee and the Committee on Budgets.

She could not be re-elected for election to the citizenship because she could not reconcile her work with the NDR. After her work in the citizenship, she was an assessor in the state board of the " Working Group of Social Democratic Women ".
