MonmouthpediA is a project to link the small town to Wikipedia . Since May 19, 2012, almost all buildings in the city have been equipped with QR codes ("MonmouthpediA"), which refer to further Wikipedia articles. For users, Monmouthpedia represents a new way of exploring cities and areas for tourism. Anyone passing interesting buildings and locations can simply scan the corresponding QR code and be linked to the appropriate information page - ideally even in their own language.
Part of the project is also that the city has been equipped with free WiFi across the board .
