action

At the high school for monsters, teacher Mr. Rotter shows the students an old educational film that warns them of normal people who would hunt monsters on Halloween . Most students do not take the warnings about normal people seriously at first. But when the school is pelted with eggs and pumpkins, that changes and headmaster Bloodgood advises the monsters to hide or just go outside the door in disguise. Frankie Stein disagrees, stating that the monsters shouldn't be ashamed of being different. She calls on all monsters to get their holiday back. However, the students misunderstand their demand and so Cleo de Nile and some of his fellow campaigners plan to take revenge on the normal. You are on your way to the normal school, the New Salem High School. When they get there, the school is smeared with a skull. When the police see the monsters, they mistake the monsters for the perpetrators. When they flee, they end up at a Halloween party, where they are mistaken for costumed normal people. Suddenly, Lilith, the niece of the infamous monster hunter Van Hellscream, appears at the party. The monsters are recognized and have to run away again.

In the meantime, some monster students have found a plan for the catacombs under the school, on which a Halloween hall is drawn. There they learn that monsters on Halloween were originally celebrated by the people and not teased.

Meanwhile, Holt Hyde was arrested by the police because it is believed he was responsible for defacing the normal school. In his cell, however, the monster Hyde turns back into the normal Jackson Jekyll and is therefore released and taken to the normal school. There he meets Clair, a normal girl who feels part of the Gothic scene.

After eggs and pumpkins were thrown at the normal school, Cleo explains that Holt has confessed to the deeds through his Critter account . Lilith has since found out that the monster Holt Hyde is hiding behind the normal Jackson Jekyll and that he always turns into a monster when he listens to music. Holt is finally caught by the police with the help of Lilith. Holt is said to receive the most terrible monster punishment from the normal people: He is driven up the hill on Halloween, where he is supposed to receive the "sour punishment".

In the meantime it turns out that Holt is innocent and that Cleo from the monsters and Lilith from the normal are behind everything. When they confess their actions to the sheriff, he does not want to hear about it and explains that he will punish the monster Holt anyway. On Halloween evening the normal people now gather on the hill with torches and pitchforks to give Holt the acidic punishment. However, the monsters manage to free Holt just in time.

The normal people are now storming the school of monsters. There they are expected in the Halloween hall, where the misunderstandings between the normal and the monsters are finally cleared up and everyone celebrates a Halloween party together. The centuries-old enmity between normal people and monsters is over.

Reviews

"The" X-Men "greet you in these loud and cheerful fantasy cartoons for children and young teenagers that aim to address trends and target groups. Despite the horror motifs, horror and violence play subordinate roles, communication and party are the names of the uncomplicated messages. "

“Animated children's film that seeks to sell its cheaply and quickly produced images from the computer with a noisy pop soundtrack and the brightest possible colors. Also of little entertainment value for the young target group. "
