Monte Argento (in Chile Monte Franzetti ) is the dominant elevation of the Andersson Island off the northern tip of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises to the west of Cape Betbeder .

Argentine scientists explored it on an expedition carried out between 1974 and 1975 . They named the mountain after Federico Argento Prat, who in 1903 belonged to the crew of the Argentine corvette Uruguay on the rescue trip for the troubled Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901-1903) under Otto Nordenskjöld . Chilean scientists, however, named him after Tomás Franzetti Padlina, a participant in the 1st Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1946–1947).
