The Monte Casale is a 1,632 meter high mountain in the Lake Garda mountains in Trentino in Italy . The mountain rises with an approximately 1400 meter high east face above the Droer district of Pietramurata (254 m) in the Sarca valley . Here the river leaves its narrow, west-east running valley to change to a wider valley section to the south. The north side drops off relatively steeply to the Sarca valley. The summit has a flat high plateau with the Rifugio Don Zio Pisoni hut, which is not continuously managed . The west side of the mountain is rather flat. One of the longest via ferratas in the Alps leads through the east side, with the via ferrata named after Che Guevara . Several climbing routes also lead through this wall.
