As part of the formerly independent municipality of Deilinghofen, Langenbruch has been part of the town of Hemer since January 1, 1975 . The settlement is located in the south of Deilinghofen, on the edge of the Balver Forest.

In Langenbruch there are some residential buildings, a waterworks owned by Stadtwerke Hemer and a fish pond. Langenbruch is located on the banks of the Nieringser Bach , which flows into the Sundwiger Bach a little later . As Hemer-Bach or Oese , this brook then crosses downtown Hemer.
