The Oese is a 19.6 km long orographically left tributary of the Hönne in North Rhine-Westphalia , Germany .
geography
The river has its source in the Neuenrader Stadtwald about 1 km northeast of Dahle as Gelmecke . The source is at an altitude of 461 m above sea level. NN . From the source, the river first flows in a northerly direction. After the confluence of the Isenbach from the direction of Hüingsen , the river is called Heppingser Bach and then flows through Heppingsen . The Selmke flows south of Stephanopel . Here the river changes its name again and is now called Sundwiger Bach . The Westiger Bach flows north of the eponymous town of Sundwig . Here the river changes its name again to flow through Hemer as the Hemer Bach .
In Niederhemer , the river turns abruptly to the east. Here the name changes for the last time, from here the river is now called Oese . After the Becke and Obsthof flowed through, the Oese flows into the south of Menden (Sauerland) at 144 m above sea level. NN on the left in the Hönne .
