Dahle is a district of Altena in the Sauerland . Dahle is the easternmost district of Altena on the city limits to Neuenrade .

history

In 1921 there was a connection to the Iserlohner Kreisbahn in the direction of Hemer / Ihmert , and from 1926 there was also a connection to Altena. In 1933 passenger traffic was shut down. From 1940 to 1956 trains ran again to Altena, while the line to Hemer was not reactivated. Freight traffic on the route ceased in 1958.

Dahle was an independent municipality until 1968 and belonged to the Neuenrade office . On January 1, 1969, Dahle was incorporated into Altena during a regional reform.

geography

Dahle is located in the upper Nettetal at the foot of the Kohlberg . State road 698 runs through the village. The next motorway connections are on the A 46 in Iserlohn and on the A 45 near Lüdenscheid. To the north of Dahle lies the Auf dem Giebel nature reserve with its two juniper heaths .

Infrastructure

There are indoor and outdoor pools and a primary school in the village. Dahle has a mayor . The place is connected to Altena and Neuenrade by three bus routes.
