The Monte Munizaga (in Argentina Monte Norte ) is a mountain on Hoseason Iceland in the Palmer Archipelago west of the Antarctic Peninsula . It rises immediately to the east of Punta Fernandez .
Chilean scientists named him after Fernando S. Munizaga, participant in the 4th Chilean Antarctic Expedition (1949–1950). The Argentine name is descriptive and is based on the location of the mountain on Hoseason Island ( Spanish norte , north ' ).
