Montmagny is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
It is located in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches and consists of 14 subordinate administrative units (one city, nine municipalities and four districts). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Montmagny . The population is 22,849 and the area 1694.9 km², which corresponds to a population density of 13.5 inhabitants per km².
