Lotbinière is a regional county municipality ( French municipalité régionale du comté, MRC ) in the Canadian province of Québec .
It is located in the administrative region of Chaudière-Appalaches and consists of 18 subordinate administrative units (14 municipalities and four districts). The MRC was founded on January 1, 1982. The main town is Sainte-Croix . The population is 29,287 and the area 1664.0 km², which corresponds to a population density of 17.6 inhabitants per km².
