Trivia

The Filles du Roi , to which the team name Les Filles du Roi refers, were 800 young French women who were brought from France to New France between 1663 and 1673 to marry settlers there and to stimulate population growth. Racaille means "rabble" or "scrap". The name New Skids on the Block alludes to the boy band New Kids on the Block and the name Les Sexpos to the Major League Baseball Club Montreal Expos , which in turn was named after the Exposition universelle et international Montréal 1967 (Expo 67) .
