The Monts Chic-Chocs form a mountain range on the Gaspésie Peninsula in the Canadian province of Québec .
They form the highest part of the Monts Notre-Dame , a northern branch of the Appalachian Mountains . They extend over a length of 95 km. The mountain range has a width of 10 km. It is located 20 to 40 km south of the estuary of the Saint Lawrence River . The highest peak in the mountain range is Mont Jacques-Cartier with a height of 1268 m . Other prominent peaks are Mont de la Table ( 1180 m ) and Mont Albert ( 1151 m ). The Parc national de la Gaspésie extends over the highest part of the Mont Chic-Chocs.
