action

Moonyoung is dumb and lives with her father in Seoul . Her mother left her when she was four years young. Her father is drinking and Moonyoung can't stand him. She locks her own room in the apartment. In her free time, she drives strangers through streets and subway stations and films with her camera. One evening she films a couple arguing. When she wants to film the woman's face more closely after the argument, she kicks a can and accidentally draws attention to herself. She runs away, but the woman can catch up with her. She looks at the recording and wants a DVD of it. But Moonyoung only wants her camera. There is an argument. Only then does the woman who is called Hee-soo realize that Moonyoung is mute.

The next day Moonyoung brings a DVD over. Then she wants to go, but can no longer find the way. Hee-soo teases her for it and follows her. In the evening they both sit on a swing together and Hee-soo talks about her ex-boyfriend and how often they have separated. Then they both go to his house. This one is also just coming back. He's annoyed with Hee-soo's aggressive behavior. When he sees Moonyoung, he asks Hee-soo if it is her and approaches Moonyoung. She falls and Hee-soo can get him to let go of her. Moonyoung takes the opportunity and sits down on the scooter Hyeok-cheol has just come with and drives off. She shakes him off as he follows her and reads Hee-soo up.

The next few days they spend a lot of time together and Moonyoung takes them into their house. She shows her more video. When Hee-soo asks why she is doing the videos, Moonyoung writes on a piece of paper that she is looking for her mother. She emails the videos to her aunt in Japan to see if she recognizes them. Your father is a bastard. That night he knocks on the door again and asks rhetorically why Moonyoung treats him the way her mother treated him. Moonyoung buries herself under her blanket and Hee-soo does the same.

When Moonyoung goes to school, she lets Hee-soo sleep. But when she comes back from school, Hee-soo is still there and has cooked for her father. Moonyoung makes this angry and she runs away. When she returns, the house is in chaos and there is food everywhere. Her father is on the balcony and asks her where she was and where her mother is. He falls from the balcony railing.

Moonyoung visits Hee-soo at home. She just has a visitor. But Hee-soo sends her visitor away to take care of Moonyoung. Moonyoung writes down that she wanted to know what Hee-soo did badly. Then Hee-soo kisses Moonyoung on the lips. Hee-soo also asks if she is really dumb.

In the next scene, Moonyoung is in the subway filming passers-by. She thinks of a woman that it is her mother. She runs after her and says, “Mother! Mother! Mother, it's me Moonyoung. “But the woman is horrified and doesn't know what's going on. In the evening Moonyoung is in the hospital and sees her father on the phone in his room. She closes the door before he sees her. Then she meets Hee-soo and beaming with joy tells her that she met her mother today.
