The Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary ( German Elchhügel ) is a 1,971 acres (8 km² ) comprehensive reserve the same name, 534 ft (162.8 m high survey) Sharon in the state of Massachusetts of the United States . It was established in 1916 and is the oldest and largest sanctuary of the Massachusetts Audubon Society .
Protected area
A total of 25 mi (40.2 km ) of hiking trails lead visitors through the conservation area, which consists primarily of forests, a red maple swamp, fields and wetlands . Red-throated warblers and marsh swallows can be observed in particular , but volunteers can also look out for a large number of other bird species and mark them on a checklist. Solidarity farming can also be practiced on the Moose Hill Community Farm .
