biography
As a 15-year-old Pridy began to participate in FIS races in December 2005 , where he initially mainly denied giant slalom and slalom . The first appearances in the Nor-Am Cup followed a year later. In January 2008 he was able to win an FIS race for the first time. Over the next few years there was a gradual change to the fast disciplines. In the 2010/11 season he managed to establish himself in the front midfield in the Nor-Am Cup, and in January 2011 he competed for the first time in Europe. After some good results, on March 3, 2012, he was given the opportunity to compete in a World Cup race for the first time and finished in 38th place on the downhill from Kvitfjell .
In mid-December 2012, Pridy achieved a podium finish in the Nor-Am Cup for the first time. At the end of the 2012/13 season, he won three races over two days in Nakiska . With that he won the Super-G-classification and the super-combination-classification of the Nor-Am Cup, while he finished third in the overall classification. With these successes, Pridy got a permanent place in the World Cup. Pridy won his first World Cup points on December 7, 2013 with 24th place in the Super-G at Beaver Creek . At the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi , he surprised everyone with 10th place in the Super-G, his best result ever. At the end of the season he won the Canadian Downhill Championship.
Pridy's best World Cup result was 16th in the Super-G at Beaver Creek on December 6, 2014. After the 2015/16 season , Pridy ended his active career.
