Moritz Diesterweg (born March 1, 1834 in Berlin , † February 19, 1906 in Frankfurt am Main ) was a German publisher .

Moritz Diesterweg was the youngest son of the pedagogue Adolph Diesterweg (1790–1866). In 1873 he founded the Moritz Diesterweg publishing house , a publishing house for school books and educational literature, which the Holtzbrinck Group bought in 1995 . In 2007 Westermann Verlag took over the publishing house and closed the Moritz Diesterweg publishing house in Frankfurt am Main.

Diesterweg was a member of the Frankfurter Masonic Lodge Zur Einigkeit .
