Moritz Zörb (born October 26, 1995 in Gießen ) is a German handball player who plays in the 2nd handball Bundesliga at TV 05/07 Hüttenberg on the position at the district .

Career

Moritz Zörb learned to play handball in his home village at TSV Lützellinden (parent club of MSG Linden) in Central Hesse. With the beginning of the C-youth, the talented handball player moved to the Bundesliga neighbors HSG Wetzlar, where he subsequently went through all other youth teams. With the A-youth of the Green-Whites he played for two years in the youth handball league . He was also able to take on unpopular tasks: When both goalkeepers were injured before the league game against ART Düsseldorf in the 2012/13 season, the youngster jumped into the breach and the Wetzlar U19 even brought one at 30:30 Point home.

In the summer of 2012, Zörb was appointed to the professional squad for the first time by HSG trainer Kai Wanderschneider and, as part of the preparation during the winter break at HSG Wetzlar, he completed a few test games for the Lahnstadt team. A little later, the then 17-year-old made his first Bundesliga appearance.

At the beginning of the 2014/15 season, Zörb signed his first professional contract with HSG Wetzlar and was given second play rights for the neighbor and second division team TV 05/07 Hüttenberg . The following year he switched to the third handball league on loan to TV Gelnhausen . In the summer of 2016, the runner returned (also on loan) to TVH, who had just made it back to the second handball league. Zörb played an extremely successful season with the blue-reds, at the end of which Hüttenberg sensationally made the march into the 1st handball league perfect. When the HSG Wetzlar did not renew the expiring contract with their former youth player in the summer of 2017, the TV Hüttenberg took hold and presented Zörb a little later as its own contract player.
