Markus Stegefelt (born April 5, 1994 in Eskilstuna ) is a Swedish handball player . He is 2.00 m tall and weighs 102 kg. He currently plays for the German club TV Hüttenberg in the 2nd handball Bundesliga .

Career

Markus Stegefelt started playing handball at the age of four with his hometown club IK Guif. At 16 he joined city rivals HK Eskil, for whom he was active for two seasons. Stegefelt then made the leap into the professional field with the Swedish first division club Alingsås HK , whose jersey he wore for two years. For the 2014/15 season, the 2-meter-tall right-handed player moved to IFK Skövde within the league. There he scored 349 goals in 62 games.

In the summer of 2016, the Swedes moved to Germany to join the HBW Balingen-Weilstetten syndicate in the 2nd handball league. His record in Baden-Württemberg was 78 goals in 49 games. In the second half of the 2017/18 season, Stegefelt was no longer used because of a torn cruciate ligament .

For the 2018/19 season, Markus Stegefelt joined the central Hessian handball club TV Hüttenberg , which had just been relegated to the 2nd handball Bundesliga .
