IFK Skövde HK is a Swedish handball club whose men's team plays in the top Swedish league, the Elitserien .
IFK Skövde was founded in 1907. It consisted of different departments, including a handball section. In 1991 the individual sections of the association became independent and formed their own associations.
IFK Skövde HK has played in the Swedish elite series since 1990.
In 1992 IFK Skövde HK took part in a European competition for the first time, the European Cup Winners' Cup . Further participation followed in the following years. In 1995 they played for the first time at European level in the City Cup, today the Challenge Cup . The international high point was reached in the 2003/04 season when IFK Skövde HK won the Challenge Cup.
The greatest national successes were the wins of the runner-up championship in 2005 and 2007.
