Morten Ørsal Johansen (born September 11, 1964 in Sunndal ) is a Norwegian politician of the right-wing Fremskrittspartiet (FrP). Since 2009 he has been a member of parliament in Storting .

Life

From 1984 to 1994 he worked as an industrial worker in Raufoss . Johansen completed his training as a CNC machine operator in 1994 . He then worked as a process controller until 1997 before working as a process developer until 2000. From 1993 to 2011 he was a member of the local parliament of Vestre Toten . Between 1999 and 2009 Ørsal Johansen was also a member of the Fylkesting in what was then the province of Oppland .

In the parliamentary elections in 2001 and 2005 , Ørsal Johansen missed entry into the Norwegian national parliament in Storting . He finally received a mandate for the first time in the 2009 election . There he represents the constituency of Oppland and he was initially a member of the judiciary committee. During the legislative period, he moved to the local and administrative committee in October 2011. After the Storting election in 2013 he became part of the Economic Committee, and from February 2016 he was its deputy chairman. Following the 2017 election , he became a member again.

Ørsal Johansen announced that he did not want to run again for a seat in Storting in 2021 .
