Morten Svartveit

Morten Svartveit (* 1978 ) is a Norwegian actor who is known for his roles in Occupied and Heimebane , among others .

Life

Svartveit comes from the western Norwegian municipality of Voss . After initially planning to become a lawyer, he attended a musical school for two years. From 2004 to 2008 he trained as an actor at the GITIS Scandinavia Theater Academy in Aarhus , a branch of the Russian Academy for Theater Arts , Moscow. After this stay in Denmark he returned to Norway, where he played as a theater actor for the Det Norske Teatret , among others . There he worked in productions such as the Threepenny Opera and Woyzeck . Svartveit also worked at the theater in Tromsø for a year and a half . In 2013 he returned to Norske Teatret.

In the series Occupied he took on the character of Prime Minister Knudsen from 2015. He gained greater fame through his role as Espen Eide in the Norwegian football series Heimebane .
