Mouhammadou Einstein Jaiteh (born November 27, 1994 in Pantin ), sometimes also known as Mam Jaiteh , is a French basketball player who currently plays for Avtodor Saratov in Russia. The 208 cm tall and 113 kg heavy man with Gambian and Senegalese roots plays either in the position of the power forward or the center .
Career
society
Jaiteh won the French Cup with JSF Nanterre in 2014 . In the following season he won the EuroChallenge 2014/15 with his club , to which he contributed with an average of 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds. Jaiteh signed up for the 2015 NBA draft but was not selected.
In the 2016/17 season he was under contract with SIG Strasbourg , after which he moved within the French league to Limoges CSP . In November 2018, he left Limoges and accepted an offer from Italian first division club Fiat Turin . In the run-up to the 2019/20 season, he moved to Avtodor Saratov in Russia .
National team
In the summer of 2015, Jaiteh took part in the preparation of the national team for the 2015 European Championship . Although he was initially not represented in the final squad, he moved up after the injury of Alexis Ajinca and was finally used in three games, in which he scored an average of 2.0 points and thus contributed to winning the bronze medal.

Jaiteh's father emigrated from Senegal , while his mother is from Gambia .
