Mount Achilles is a 1280 m high and snowy mountain with steep slopes in the center of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago . It rises 6.5 km southwest of Mount Nestor .
The Falkland Islands Dependencies Survey carried out measurements of the mountain in 1955. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it after the Greek hero Achilles .
