Mount Andes is a 2525 m high mountain in Marie-Byrd-Land . It rises in the southeastern part of the Tapley Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and with the help of aerial photographs by the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the mountain after Lieutenant Commander Paul Gowdy Andes (* 1930) of the United States Navy, pilot of McMurdo Station from 1962 to 1963 and from 1963 to 1964.
