Mount Armagost is a 2040 m high mountain in the north of the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It is one of a number of mountain peaks between the Mirabito Range and the Homerun Range . It rises 14.5 km southwest of Mount LeResche .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it using its own surveys and using aerial photographs of the United States Navy between 1960 and 1963. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after Harry M. Armagost, chief equipment officer of the United States Navy, who served in 1963 and 1967 McMurdo Station overwintered.
