Mount Chivers is a 1755 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises between the Otago and Tranter glaciers in the northern part of the Queen Elizabeth Range of the Transantarctic Mountains .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it based on its own tellurometer measurements and with the help of aerial photographs of the United States Navy from the years 1960 to 1962. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1966 after Hugh J. H. Chivers, atmospheric physicist of the United States Antarctic Research Program on the Byrd Station , Amundsen-Scott South Pole Station, and Hallett Station from 1962 to 1963.
