Mount Corneliussen is a 1540 m (according to British data 1220 m ) high mountain on South Georgia . It rises 1.5 km north of Mount Globus at the western end of the Allardyce Range .
The South Georgia Survey mapped the mountain as part of its 1951-1957 survey of South Georgia. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1958 after the Norwegian engineers Carl and Erling Corneliussen from Sandefjord , who were involved in the development and improvement of whaling equipment between 1923 and 1938 .
