Mount Gardner is a striking and 1991 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises 49 km east-southeast of Mount Béchervaise in the central part of the Porthos Range in the Prince Charles Mountains . At its eastern end two small mountain peaks rise , the western section and its north face are covered in snow.
The southern group of a team of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions led by the Australian mountaineer William Gordon Bewsher (1924-2012) visited him in December 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named him after Lionel George Gardner (* 1924), mechanic for diesel engines at nearby Davis Station in 1958.
