Mount Hemmingsen is a mountain near the Lassiter Coast in Palmerland on the Antarctic Peninsula . At the northeastern end of the Werner Mountains, it rises 8 km southwest of Court Nunatak on the south side of the Meinardus Glacier .
The United States Geological Survey mapped it on the basis of its own measurements and aerial photographs of the United States Navy from 1961 to 1967. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it in 1968 after Edvard Alfred Hemmingsen (* 1932), biologist at McMurdo Station from 1966 until 1967 and on the Palmer station from 1967 to 1968.
