Mount Henderson is a 970 m high, massive mountain in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . It rises from the ice sheet 8 km southeast of Holme Bay and just as far northeast of the north end of the Masson Range .
He was discovered during the British Australian and New Zealand Antarctic Research Expedition (1929-1931) under the direction of the Australian polar explorer Douglas Mawson , who named him after the Australian official Walter Henderson (1887-1986), a member of the Australian Antarctic Committee in 1929 .
