Mount Henry is a 1500 m high mountain in the East Antarctic Enderbyland . It rises one mile east of Simpson Peak in the Scott Mountains .
The name goes back to the British navigator and explorer John Biscoe in the course of his Antarctic voyage from 1830 to 1831, although the mountain that Biscoe named could not be clearly identified. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia (ANCA) transferred Biscoe's designation to the mountain described here for reasons of continuity. Its position was determined from aerial photographs taken by the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions in 1956 and 1957. Namesake is Henry Enderby, one of the partners in the whale and seal fishing company Samuel Enderby & Sons and owner of Biscoe's ship Tula .
