Mount Kring is a roughly 2100 m high and clearly defined Nunatak in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises 21 km southwest of Mount Wood on the northern edge of the upper section of the David Glacier .
The cartographer D. B. McC Rainey from the Department of Lands and Survey in New Zealand named him. Namesake is Staff Sergeant Arthur Lyall Kring (1926–1972) of the United States Marine Corps , navigator on flights of the United States Navy squadron VX-6 in service for New Zealand field research teams in the area between 1962 and 1963.
