Mount Kristensen is a 3460 m high mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises 3 km southeast of Lindstrøm Peak on the west side of the Nilsen Plateau in the Queen Maud Mountains .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names renamed it in 1967 after Halvardus Kristensen (1879-1919), sailor and later third mechanic aboard the Fram at the South Pole Expedition (1910-1912) of the Norwegian polar explorer Roald Amundsen . The committee thus preserved Amundsen's designation of an unidentifiable Mount H. Kristensen in this area.
