The Mount Larsen is a 1560 m high mountain with steep granite cliffs on the northern flank in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Prince Albert Mountains it rises about 5 km southwest of the Hansen Nunatak on the south side of the Reeves Glacier formation zone .
Participants of the Discovery Expedition (1901-1904) led by the British polar explorer Robert Falcon Scott discovered him. It is named for the Norwegian Carl Anton Larsen (1860–1924), a participant in the simultaneous Swedish Antarctic Expedition (1901–1903).
