Mount Lecointe is a 3620 m high and striking mountain in the Antarctic Ross Dependency . It rises about 5 km northwest of Mount Rabot in the Queen Elizabeth Range of the Transantarctic Mountains .
Participants in the Nimrod expedition (1907-1909), led by the British polar explorer Ernest Shackleton, discovered him. The mountain is named after the Belgian geophysicist George Lecointe (1869–1929), a participant in the Belgica expedition (1897–1899).
