The Trebuser See is a small lake in Trebus near Fürstenwalde / Spree in the Oder-Spree district in Brandenburg . It is about 1.5 km long and an average of 4-7 meters deep. The name, first recorded in 1285 as lacu Trybuss , goes back, like many similar place names from this region, to the Old Slavic word Trebiti (Roden).

The fishing and bathing water has a good fish population. These include: eel , bream , carp , pike , pikeperch , aland , perch , tench , gable and various white fish . Fishing in these DAV waters is chargeable; you can buy daily, weekly, monthly or annual tickets in fishing shops. The Trebuser See is equipped with around 50 fishing piers. As early as the 18th century, it was the destination of fishing trips by the Fürstenwalder Magistrate.

The lake is also rich in reeds and other aquatic plants. The bottom of the water is rather muddy with about 75%. The rest is sand on the beach or near the pier. The bathing beach of the Trebuser See is about 20 meters wide.
