Mount Lorius is a 1690 m high mountain in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Monument Nunatakkern it rises 4 km north of Mount Allison .
It was mapped between 1959 and 1956 by a team from the United States Antarctic Research Program to explore the Victoria Land. The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named him in 1964 after the French glaciologist Claude Lorius (* 1932), a member of this team.
